Anyone else feeling the chill at Hershey? Heard whispers...

Been with Hershey for about 5 years now, mostly in a project management role on the innovation side. Lately, things have felt...off. Budgets are tighter than usual, travel is scrutinized like crazy, and there's been a lot of 'right-sizing' talk in leadership meetings I've been a part of. My manager's been cagey when asked about team stability. Nothing concrete yet, no official announcements, but the vibe is definitely shifting. Anyone else in different departments picking up on this? Are we in for a rough patch soon, or is this just standard Q3/Q4 budgeting anxiety? Curious if others are seeing similar signs or if it's just my corner of the company.

Hang in there. I'm in supply chain, and while we haven't seen major layoffs, there's definitely a palpable sense of caution. Inventory levels are being watched like a hawk, and any new projects are facing a much higher bar for approval. It feels like the company is battening down the hatches. My advice? Focus on what you can control, document your accomplishments, and keep your resume updated just in case.

Whispers are one thing, but concrete evidence is another. I've been at Hershey for longer than you, and there have been cycles like this before. Sometimes it's just a belt-tightening period before a big push or acquisition. Unless there's an official announcement or a clear directive, I wouldn't start panicking. Focus on your work and what you bring to the table. Plenty of companies have 'right-sizing' discussions, it doesn't always lead to mass exodus.
