Hershey - Quiet on the layoff front, but is something brewing?

Hey everyone, just wanted to start a thread because I've been keeping an eye on things at Hershey and it feels a bit... quiet. No official announcements or widespread rumors of layoffs, which is good, obviously. But with the general economic climate and some of the shifts happening across the CPG sector, I can't shake the feeling that management might be strategizing behind closed doors. Are any of you on the ground seeing any subtle changes? Maybe hiring freezes in certain departments, budget cuts, or just a general sense of unease that wasn't there before? I'm with you on this. It's that pre-storm calm, isn't it? While I haven't heard anything concrete about layoffs, I have noticed a definite slowdown in external hiring for some roles, and a few teams are being very careful with discretionary spending. Feels like they're tightening the belt without making a big song and dance about it. Could be preparing for a tougher quarter or maybe making some strategic shifts we aren't privy to yet.

Interesting observation. I haven't picked up on any major buzz about layoffs either, which is a relief. However, I do think it's wise to be vigilant. The industry is unpredictable, and companies often make decisions quietly to avoid panic. I'd be curious to hear if anyone in specific divisions has noticed any unusual project reprioritization or shifts in management focus. Could be an indicator.
