Thinking about proactive career moves - Hershey outlook?

With the general economic climate and the consolidation happening in CPG, I've started thinking more seriously about my long-term future here at Hershey. While I haven't experienced or heard of any direct layoffs, there's always that underlying concern in large companies, especially in consumer staples where growth can be slower and more competitive. I'm in a mid-level role and feel like I'm doing good work, but I'm also realistic. I'm starting to update my resume and browse job boards more actively, just to see what's out there. Is anyone else in a similar boat? Have you seen any signs that might indicate a need to start looking elsewhere, or is this just standard corporate paranoia? Curious to hear from others, especially those who have been through similar cycles in CPG companies before. What are the typical indicators to watch for?

It's wise to be thinking ahead, especially with the current economic shifts. Hershey has a strong brand, but no company is completely immune to industry-wide trends. Focusing on developing unique skills or expanding your network beyond the immediate team could be beneficial. Consider looking into areas within Hershey that are showing growth or exploring cross-functional projects to broaden your experience. Staying informed about market performance and company announcements is key, but also don't underestimate the value of preparing yourself for opportunities outside the company. It's about having options.
