So, the Chevron deal is officially dead. Now what for Hess? I've been here a few years and this is the most uncertainty I've felt. There aren't any confirmed layoff announcements, but with the deal off the table, I'm worried about how the company plans to move forward, especially if there are budget cuts or restructuring needed. Have any of you heard any whispers internally about potential impacts on headcount? It's hard to get a clear picture when management isn't sharing much. Trying to gauge the overall sentiment and if others are feeling the same level of 'what if'. Any thoughts on how this might play out operationally or in terms of personnel?

It's completely understandable to feel anxious with this kind of news. The lack of clear communication from leadership definitely adds to the stress. I'm in a similar boat, just trying to stay informed and focus on my current responsibilities. Hopefully, we'll get some more concrete information soon about Hess's strategic direction. In the meantime, keeping an eye on industry news and focusing on delivering strong results might be the best approach.

Yeah, this Chevron situation has created a lot of uncertainty, for sure. It feels like we're in a holding pattern, and it's natural to worry about what that means for jobs and the company's future. I haven't heard any solid rumors about layoffs yet, but it's a valid concern given the circumstances. Just trying to stay positive and focus on the work we can control. Let's hope management provides some clarity soon.
