That's really interesting. HP's been through so many 'strategic shifts' lately, it's hard to keep track. I'd be cautiously optimistic. Dig into the team's funding during your follow-up questions – that's usually a good indicator of how serious they are. A growth-oriented vibe is great, but make sure they have the resources to back it up.
Color me skeptical. 'Growth' sounds good on paper, but HP's history suggests a lot of restructuring and not always in a positive way for employees. I'd ask very direct questions about job security and the team's long-term roadmap. Layoff rumors are usually based on something, so don't ignore those red flags.
