Is the 'Heart' culture feeling a bit hollow lately?

Been at Hubspot for a few years now, and honestly, the vibe has shifted. Used to be that the 'Heart' values actually meant something, but lately, it feels like we’re just another cog in the machine being squeezed for every bit of productivity. The constant push for more aggressive quotas while hearing whispers about 'operational efficiency' in the latest all-hands has me looking over my shoulder. Is it just me, or is the internal transparency starting to dry up? I used to brag about working here, but now I’m spending my lunch breaks polishing my resume. Just feels like the writing is on the wall and management is just waiting for the right moment to announce 'restructuring' to keep the stock price happy. Anyone else getting the same uneasy feeling during team syncs?

I’ve been feeling the exact same way. It feels like the company grew too fast and lost that intimacy that actually made the culture worth talking about. The focus has shifted entirely toward metrics and quarterly targets, and the 'Heart' stuff just feels like window dressing for a standard corporate grind now. I’m also starting to look at other options because it’s becoming increasingly difficult to feel invested in a place that feels like it’s treating us like disposable data points.

That’s a pretty cynical take, honestly. Every company goes through growth pains, and yeah, things are more intense now than they were a few years ago. But I still see the 'Heart' values being lived out by the people in my immediate circle every day. If you’re feeling squeezed, it might just be the specific team or manager you’re working under. The culture isn't dead, it’s just evolving into something that’s built to scale globally. Maybe take a step back before you jump ship.
