Yeah, I'm feeling it too. I'm in a different division, but that anxious feeling is spreading company-wide. Keep an eye on who's getting pulled into random 'urgent' meetings with HR. That's almost always a bad sign. Also, watch for changes in budget approvals – if suddenly it's impossible to get anything approved, that's a HUGE red flag. Good luck!
Honestly, this happens every few years at IBM. It's almost cyclical. Restructuring this, transforming that…the sky is always falling. Unless you have a specific reason to believe you're on the chopping block (performance issues, unpopular project, etc.), I wouldn't panic too much. But, no harm in updating your resume, just in case. It's good practice regardless of the company's drama.
