Things feel really uncertain at IBM right now, and I'm not just talking about rumors. My team lost a few people last month, and the official story was 'performance related'. But then management started talking a lot about 'streamlining' and 'optimizing' our workflows. It's like they're constantly looking for reasons to cut. We're being pushed to do more with less, and the pressure is insane. Any small mistake feels like it could be the one that gets you noticed. My direct manager is super cagey when asked about future plans or projects. Just vague answers about 'adapting to market demands'. It's creating a lot of anxiety and is really impacting morale. Is anyone else experiencing this kind of atmosphere where there's no official word, but the underlying message is 'be useful or be gone'?

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. The constant talk about efficiency and optimization is definitely unsettling.
