I hear you. Been there, done that (though not at Intuit). Layoffs are almost always a sign of strategic uncertainty. "Restructuring" is corporate speak for "we messed up and are trying to fix it, maybe." Keep your head down, focus on your team's goals, and document everything. That way you're ready for whatever comes next. Brush up your resume too, just in case.
Honestly, this happens at every big company eventually. They get bloated, make some bad bets, and then "restructure." Intuit still prints money, so I wouldn't panic *too* much. But yeah, leadership probably doesn't have all the answers. They rarely do. Just try to stay valuable and adaptable. Skills in emerging technologies will always be your best bet in a situation like this.
