It's disheartening to see this pattern repeat. The "optimization" and "innovation" rhetoric often masks the human cost of these decisions. The constant churn creates a very unstable environment for everyone, making it hard to build trust or feel secure in your role, regardless of performance. Makes you wonder about the long-term strategy when stability seems to be sacrificed so readily.
The "performance" excuse always feels a bit suspect when it's tied to large-scale layoffs. It's easy to justify cuts when you can point fingers individually, but when it's widespread, it suggests bigger systemic issues. The disconnect between the company's public image and the internal experience is a consistent theme, unfortunately. It's a tough climate for employees right now.
