Heard whispers about restructuring in Medical Devices... anyone else?

Okay, so I've been hearing some rumblings about a possible restructuring in the Medical Devices sector. Specifically, people are mentioning the DePuy Synthes division. I'm in R&D, been with J&J for 7 years, and things have been... weird lately. Meetings getting cancelled last minute, upper management being super vague about future projects, the usual signs. Has anyone else heard anything similar? I'm not trying to spread rumors, just trying to get a feel for whether I should be updating my resume. It's always the same - you get blind-sided when you expect it least. Any insight would be appreciated. Trying not to panic, but... you know.

Yep, heard similar things. I'm in marketing for a different J&J division, but we're all connected, right? The word is 'streamlining' – which usually means cutting. I'd quietly start polishing that resume, just in case. It's better to be prepared than blindsided. Good luck!

Honestly, these restructuring rumors pop up every few years at J&J. Remember the [previous restructuring event]? Turned out to be a whole lot of nothing for most people. Maybe just hold tight and see what happens. Don't panic-update your resume just yet. It could just be the usual corporate jitters.
