Just saw the official WARN notices hit for the 28th. It looks like 23 people total were caught in this round across the Pleasanton and Walnut Creek offices. I’ve been hearing whispers about potential consolidation in the Bay Area sites for a while now, but seeing the actual filings makes it real. For those of us still here, the mood is pretty somber today. Does anyone know if this is the end of the cuts for this quarter, or are we expecting more rolling layoffs through Q4? Trying to figure out if I need to update my LinkedIn today or if the dust has settled for now.

I am so sorry to hear this. Seeing the numbers officially posted makes the reality of the situation sink in for everyone. It’s hard to stay focused when you’re constantly wondering if the consolidation is finished or if the next wave is just around the corner. Unfortunately, management has been tight-lipped about the Q4 outlook, so the best advice is to just take it one day at a time. At this point, you have to assume the worst. Leadership rarely stops at one round when they are actively pursuing site consolidation. They likely have a target headcount reduction for the fiscal year, and these WARN notices are just the first step in hitting that metric. Don't waste your energy waiting for a clear answer from HR; they won't give you one until the ink is dry on the next round of cuts. Update your resume now and start networking outside the company immediately.
