Rant: So tired of the constant uncertainty

Honestly, I'm so over this. Every few years, there's some kind of 'transformation' or 'reorganization' that leaves everyone on edge. I'm in supply chain, been here for 5 years, and I'm just so drained. It feels like we're constantly being asked to do more with less, while the executives rake in millions. I'm tired of the empty platitudes about 'valuing our employees' when the reality is that we're just numbers on a spreadsheet. If they're going to cut people, just do it already. The constant anxiety is worse than the actual layoffs. Rant over.

I feel this so much. Been at J&J (different department) for about the same time, and the constant restructures are exhausting. The worst part is the lack of transparency. You hear whispers, morale plummets, and productivity tanks because everyone's spending more time worrying about their job than actually doing it. I've started looking at other companies, just in case. It's a shame, because I used to really like working here.

I hear you, but have you considered the bigger picture? J&J is a massive corporation in a constantly evolving industry. Some restructuring is inevitable to stay competitive. Five years isn't that long, and maybe this is just part of the process. Perhaps looking into other internal roles could provide a fresh perspective and avoid the constant worry about layoffs? Worth exploring before jumping ship, maybe.
