I’ve noticed the same thing at my site. The silence in the office is definitely louder than usual, and those closed-door meetings are never a good sign. It feels like they're just waiting for the current projects to wrap up before they make any official announcements. Keep your head down and start cleaning up your resume just in case, because the lack of new project announcements for next quarter is pretty telling.
Honestly, I wouldn't panic just yet. We see these quiet periods every time a large project enters the punch-list phase. It’s natural for the office energy to shift once the peak construction intensity dies down. Management is likely just evaluating resource allocation for the upcoming bids. As long as you’re hitting your milestones, it’s probably business as usual, even if the atmosphere feels a bit tense right now.
