K-C layoffs - Is this real?

Came across a post suggesting K-C is planning significant layoffs, possibly up to 5,500 employees. It mentioned tax savings being reallocated for this. I'm skeptical because there's been no official news or even whispers within my department. We're in marketing and things feel normal, maybe even busy. However, the CPG sector can be unpredictable, and sometimes these things happen in waves or specific divisions. Has anyone in procurement, supply chain, or IT seen any signs of restructuring or headcount reduction plans? Or is this just another baseless rumor mill post? If it is true, it'd be good to get ahead of it and understand the scope. Curious to hear if anyone has any credible information or insights.

I haven't heard anything concrete about layoffs, but the CPG industry has definitely been a bit turbulent lately. Companies are always looking for efficiencies, and sometimes that means restructuring. I'm in R&D and we've been focused on new product development, so it hasn't impacted us directly, but it's definitely a valid concern given the current economic climate. Hopefully, it's just a rumor, but it's wise to stay informed. Keep an eye on official announcements and industry news outlets for any updates.
