K-C layoffs - Is this real?

Came across a post suggesting K-C is planning significant layoffs, possibly up to 5,500 employees. It mentioned tax savings being reallocated for this. I'm skeptical because there's been no official news or even whispers within my department. We're in marketing and things feel normal, maybe even busy. However, the CPG sector can be unpredictable, and sometimes these things happen in waves or specific divisions. Has anyone in procurement, supply chain, or IT seen any signs of restructuring or headcount reduction plans? Or is this just another baseless rumor mill post? If it is true, it'd be good to get ahead of it and understand the scope. Curious to hear if anyone has any credible information or insights.

Anyone hearing rumblings about K-C layoffs?

Saw a totally unsubstantiated post elsewhere talking about massive layoffs at K-C, like 5,500 people. Said something about using tax cuts to fund it, which sounds wild if true. Honestly, I haven't seen any official communication or anything concrete on here, which is why I'm asking. My team has been pretty stable, but you never know what's going on behind closed doors in big CPG. Wondering if anyone in finance, operations, or even R&D has heard anything or noticed any unusual hiring freezes or budget cuts. Just trying to gauge if this is just noise or if there's something to it. Layoffs would be a huge bummer, especially after all the effort everyone's been putting in.

Severance package question if the worst happens

Okay, long-time K-C employee here (10+ years, operations side). Haven't seen any official news, but the rumor mill is churning pretty hard lately. Trying to prepare myself mentally and practically. Has anyone here had experience with severance packages at K-C in the past, or know someone who did? What's usually included? Is it negotiable at all? Thinking about things like COBRA coverage, outplacement services, and how many weeks per year of service they typically offer. Trying to get a handle on the numbers so I'm not completely blindsided if it comes to that. Any insight would be appreciated.

Feeling the pressure in R&D lately...

Anyone else in the R&D space at K-C feeling a bit… uneasy? Been here 7 years, worked on a few different product lines, and the vibe has definitely shifted in the last quarter. Less investment in new projects, more focus on cost-cutting. My direct manager is tight-lipped, but you can tell something's brewing. Heard whispers about restructuring from a friend on the marketing side too. Just trying to stay focused on my current deliverables, but it's hard not to worry about what might be coming down the pipe. Are we all just waiting for the other shoe to drop?
