Networking resources after being laid off from Brand Marketing?

Just got the news yesterday and still processing. Was a Brand Manager for a beauty division for 5 years. Besides updating LinkedIn, what are people finding most useful for connecting with others in the industry? I've seen some alumni networks mentioned, but is it worth joining specific professional organizations right now? Any advice on how to leverage past P&G connections without sounding desperate? Feeling a bit lost on the best next steps for re-entry.

Anyone else seeing huge shifts in project priorities post-layoffs?

Been with P&G for about 7 years, primarily in supply chain for a major fabric care brand. Since the June 11th announcement, things have felt... chaotic. My manager is suddenly MIA half the time, and the strategic projects we were all focused on a month ago are being shelved or radically changed. It feels like there's no clear direction anymore. We lost a bunch of folks from our analytics team, and now the data we need for even basic reporting is delayed or incomplete. Is this happening elsewhere? Are they reallocating resources aggressively, or is it just a sign of things to come? Curious to hear if others are experiencing this kind of whiplash.

Advice for navigating interviews post-P&G?

Officially part of the recent layoff and starting the job hunt. It's been a while since I've interviewed, and frankly, the market feels brutal right now. Has anyone successfully transitioned out of P&G after being impacted by these cuts? Any tips on how to frame the layoff positively? I'm worried about sounding bitter or like I was a poor performer. My role was in [Specific function, e.g., Brand Management] and I've been with the company for [Number] years. Any advice on specific companies that are hiring or industries that are more stable would be a huge help. Feeling a bit lost and overwhelmed.

Has anyone else's team been hit harder than others?

Hey all, saw the news about the recent cuts. Pretty grim. I'm in the [Specific Business Unit, e.g., Fabric Care] division, and it feels like my whole department got decimated. We're talking people who've been here 5-10 years, solid performers, gone. Meanwhile, other teams seem relatively untouched. Is this just my perception, or is anyone else seeing a pattern? Feels like they're targeting specific functions or maybe even specific projects. Curious if anyone has intel on what the criteria might have been. My manager was pretty tight-lipped, just said it was 'strategic realignment.' Doesn't feel very strategic when you're losing decades of institutional knowledge.

P&G is a sinking ship and leadership is clueless

I'm so tired of the corporate BS. They keep talking about 'innovation' and 'disruption' but all I see is endless meetings and pointless presentations. My team is already stretched thin, and they keep piling on more projects with zero additional resources. Meanwhile, the VP is patting themselves on the back for 'record profits' while quietly planning to outsource half our jobs to India. I'm so done. I'm actively looking for a way out, even if it means taking a pay cut. My mental health is worth more than a P&G paycheck at this point. Rant over.

Severance package - what to expect?

Okay, hypothetical question (for now, hopefully!). If P&G *did* do layoffs, what kind of severance package are we realistically looking at? I've heard whispers of different formulas based on tenure, but nothing concrete. I'm in engineering, been here for 5 years. Trying to get a sense of what my runway would be if the worst happens. Also, does anyone know if they offer outplacement services or help with resume writing? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone else feeling super uneasy lately?

I've been at P&G for 8 years now, in brand management. Things have been... weird. The reorg last year felt like musical chairs, and now there's this constant pressure to 'do more with less.' Travel budgets are slashed, headcount is frozen, and every other meeting is about 'efficiency.' I know the economy is shaky, but the vibe is just off. Anyone else feeling like something big is about to drop? I'm starting to update my resume, just in case. I'm not sure where to even start looking, to be honest. The consumer goods landscape feels so volatile.

Just let go - FML rant

Well, it finally happened. Got the call this morning. 'Restructuring' my ass. Six years in supply chain management, consistently exceeding targets, and this is the thanks I get? My manager was clearly reading from a script and looked like he was about to cry. I feel completely numb. Now I'm stuck figuring out COBRA, severance, and how to explain this to my family. Seriously, P&G, you're dead to me. Time to drown my sorrows in cheap beer and start the soul-crushing job hunt. Anyone else from the supply chain team affected?

Severance Package - what to expect if the axe falls?

Okay, let's say the worst happens and layoffs *do* come down. What's the typical severance package looking like these days? I've heard everything from two weeks per year of service to some ridiculously lowball offer. I'm a market research analyst in the Beauty sector. Trying to mentally prepare myself (and maybe start budgeting for a worst-case scenario). Any insights appreciated!

Rumblings in Cincinnati? Hearing whispers about 'restructuring'

Anyone else feeling uneasy? I'm in brand management, been with P&G for 8 years, and the vibe has been...off. Lots of closed-door meetings, managers being vague about upcoming projects, and a general sense of 'wait and see'. I've been through a couple of these 'reorganizations' before, and they rarely end well for the lower ranks. Anyone have concrete info or just gut feelings like me? Trying to decide if I need to update my resume...
