Anyone else feeling super uneasy lately?

I've been at P&G for 8 years now, in brand management. Things have been... weird. The reorg last year felt like musical chairs, and now there's this constant pressure to 'do more with less.' Travel budgets are slashed, headcount is frozen, and every other meeting is about 'efficiency.' I know the economy is shaky, but the vibe is just off. Anyone else feeling like something big is about to drop? I'm starting to update my resume, just in case. I'm not sure where to even start looking, to be honest. The consumer goods landscape feels so volatile.

Totally understand. I'm in R&D, same boat. The 'efficiency' mantra is deafening. Honestly, I think they're trying to squeeze every last drop before a possible sale of some brands. It's happened before. Keep your head down, deliver what's asked, and definitely have that resume ready. Network internally too - sometimes a jump to a different department is better than leaving outright.

Eight years is a good run. Honestly, sounds like typical corporate belt-tightening to me. Every company goes through cycles. But updating your resume is smart. Look at smaller, nimbler companies in related industries. You'd be surprised how your P&G experience translates, and they might appreciate someone who knows how to operate in a structured environment. Good luck!
