Posting this as a layoff report for P&G, dated June 11th. Hearing numbers around 1600 impacted. Trying to get more clarity on which divisions or departments were most affected. Was it R&D, marketing, supply chain, corporate functions? Any firsthand accounts or verified information would be super helpful for those of us keeping an eye on the industry. Trying to understand the scope and the rationale behind these cuts. Was it a strategic pivot, cost-cutting, or something else? This is concerning to hear. P&G is such a massive company, it's hard to imagine where those numbers could come from without significant impact. I'm particularly worried about R&D – innovation is key in this sector, and cuts there could signal a real shift in strategy or just a desperate attempt to shore up short-term financials. Has anyone seen official statements or more concrete details beyond rumors? The lack of transparency is pretty typical, unfortunately, but it makes it tough for people trying to navigate their careers or understand market trends.
