Just saw the WARN notice for the Fayette site drop. They’re claiming 27 people, but the mood in the office is absolutely toxic right now. It feels like we’re just watching the slow burn. I’ve been here long enough to see these cycles, but it never gets any easier watching people pack their desks at 10 AM on a Tuesday. The managers are acting like they have no idea what the long-term plan is, which is obviously a load of crap. Is it just us, or is the Kentucky facility the only one being targeted in this current wave? If you’re at another site, please chime in. I’m trying to figure out if I should start polishing the resume tonight or if this is just a minor trim. Honestly, the silence from corporate is the worst part—they love to talk about 'synergies' and 'efficiency' right up until the moment they lock your access.

It is never just one location with this company. I went through the exact same thing during the last restructuring phase two years ago. They love to act like these decisions are isolated, but it is always part of a larger, cold-blooded strategy to cut operational costs across the board. Don't believe a word the managers tell you; they are being coached to play dumb until the very last second. Start polishing your resume tonight, because once they start clearing out desks in one branch, the domino effect usually follows shortly after. Protect yourself first.

That atmosphere sounds absolutely soul-crushing. I am sorry you are stuck in the middle of that mess. It is wild how they try to play down the numbers on the WARN notices to avoid bad press, but we all know the reality of the situation on the ground. When the office morale tanks that hard, it is usually a sign that management has already checked out and is just waiting for the severance packages to be finalized. Take care of your mental health, grab whatever documentation you can, and make sure you do not get left behind when things inevitably get worse.
