I've been hearing similar things. The performance review feedback seems to be a common pain point. It's tough when you're putting in the work and the recognition or compensation doesn't quite align, especially with all the economic uncertainty. It's easy for morale to slide when people feel undervalued or uncertain about their future, even if things aren't overtly bad. Hopefully, management addresses some of these concerns soon because it does feel like a general dip in the atmosphere lately.
It's always concerning when a palpable shift in office mood occurs. Performance reviews are a critical touchpoint, and if the outcomes aren't landing well for a significant portion of the team, it's definitely a red flag. Beyond just the ratings themselves, are there other factors contributing? Perhaps communication about company direction, project stability, or even workload management? A widespread feeling of unease rarely stems from a single source, and it's worth digging a bit deeper to understand the root causes.
