Feeling the pressure—is a RIF incoming?

Been reading a lot of rumors on here about potential cuts, but nothing seems confirmed. I’ve noticed that some of our internal projects have been quietly shelved without much explanation. When you ask leadership about long-term goals, the answers are just buzzword salads that don't actually tell us anything. It feels like they're trying to keep the culture stable while they prepare to trim headcount. I’m honestly exhausted by the uncertainty. I’d rather they just rip the band-aid off so I can start updating my resume and applying elsewhere instead of waiting for a surprise Zoom call on a random Tuesday morning. If you’ve been through a RIF at Liberty before, what were the early warning signs? Was it obvious months in advance, or was it a total blindside? I’m looking for a sanity check because the anxiety is starting to impact my actual work quality, which I know is exactly what I shouldn't be doing right now. Any advice on how to prep without looking like I'm already halfway out the door?

It is the same story every quarter with this place. Leadership loves to hide behind corporate jargon while slowly killing off projects in the background. If you see the signs, listen to them. Start updating your resume and saving your work samples now because the internal instability is rarely a coincidence. Don't wait for a formal announcement to realize that your role might be on the chopping block. Get out ahead of it while the job market is still somewhat reasonable for our industry.
