I went through the exact same thing last year. It’s infuriating how they just cut off your access and go silent. Don’t panic yet—the paperwork usually takes an extra day or two to process through their third-party administrators, regardless of what the script-reading HR rep promised. Keep refreshing your spam folder, but if you don't see anything by Wednesday morning, start calling their main benefits line. It feels personal, but it’s just bureaucratic incompetence at this point.
That is absolutely unacceptable timing. They treat tenured employees like numbers on a spreadsheet, especially during the holidays. I’d suggest documenting every interaction you’ve had so far, including the exact time that Zoom call ended. If that email doesn't drop today, reach out to your former manager or anyone still inside who can escalate this to the severance team. You deserve those details immediately so you can plan your next steps. Hang in there, this reflects far more on their poor management than on your value as an employee.
