Lincoln National - Anyone else seeing headcount freezes?

Hey everyone, checking in with my fellow LNC folks. Been hearing whispers and seeing some odd things lately. My department's been super quiet on new hires, and even internal transfers seem to be on indefinite hold. My manager's been really cagey when I ask about team growth or even just backfilling roles that have opened up. It's not a definitive "layoff" announcement, but the vibe is definitely shifting. Feels like a freeze is in effect, or at least a severe slowdown. Anyone else experiencing this or hearing anything concrete from their areas? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or just my neck of the woods. Curious to hear what others are seeing/hearing. Stay safe out there.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. We had a couple of positions open up and they've just been sitting there for weeks with no movement. Hiring managers seem to be completely stonewalled. It's creating a lot of extra work for those of us still here, and it's hard not to worry about what's coming next. Not hearing much from leadership about it either, just the usual platitudes.

My team's been in a similar boat. It's frustrating because we have projects that are really suffering from a lack of resources. Every time a role gets posted, it just disappears after a day or two with no explanation. It makes you wonder if they're even serious about filling these critical positions. Hoping it's just a temporary budgeting hiccup, but the silence is pretty deafening.
