Definitely feel that! My department has been swamped for months, and it feels like we're constantly being asked to pick up the slack. There's a definite "more with less" vibe going on, and you can see the strain on people. It's tough when you're putting in the extra hours and it doesn't seem to be acknowledged or lead to any real relief. Hoping it's just a temporary crunch, but it's been going on a while.
I hear you. While my immediate team hasn't seen a dramatic increase in workload, there's a definite undercurrent of anxiety I've picked up on in broader company meetings and hallway chats. People seem more hesitant to take time off, and there's a lot of quiet talk about efficiency drives. It makes you wonder what the long-term plan is if resources aren't keeping pace with expectations. Definitely not feeling the usual optimism.
