Just saw the filing for the Nov 21st cuts in NY. Does anyone have visibility on whether this is strictly regional or if we are looking at another round of corporate-wide 'optimization'? I’m in one of the back-office divisions and the mood here has been absolutely abysmal for weeks. We keep hearing about 'efficiencies,' but the workload isn't dropping to match the headcount. If anyone on the ground has more info on which departments got hit this time, please share. Trying to figure out if I need to start polishing the resume this weekend or if I can hold out until Q1. Stay safe everyone.

The talk around the office is that this round is focused heavily on back-office operations and administrative support roles. It definitely feels like the 'optimization' strategy is moving through different departments in waves rather than a single mass layoff event. People are understandably on edge, especially since the remaining team members are expected to absorb all the extra work. If your role touches any legacy systems or redundant support functions, you should probably prepare for the worst. It’s a waiting game at this point.

Honestly, don't hold your breath waiting for official clarity from leadership. They love using words like 'efficiencies' to mask the reality that they’re just trimming costs to appease shareholders. From what I’ve heard, these cuts are broader than just the NY regional office and seem to be hitting several corporate units simultaneously. The workload-to-headcount ratio is completely unsustainable right now, so if you're feeling the pressure, you aren't alone. Start updating your resume tonight—it’s better to be ready than to be caught off guard when the next round drops.
