The vibe in the office is toxic after the latest cuts

Honestly, at this point, I don't know why anyone is still trying to hit their KPIs. I survived the Nov 21st round, but looking around at the empty desks today, the morale is completely dead. We had a 'town hall' this morning where leadership talked about 'streamlining' and 'future-proofing,' but they didn't even address the fact that half the team is gone. It feels like they’re just burning the house down to cut costs for the shareholders while the rest of us are expected to pick up the slack for three people each. I’m already updating my resume and reaching out to recruiters. There’s zero trust left. Management treats us like line items on a spreadsheet, and the 'open door' policy is a joke when the doors are all locked. Has anyone else noticed their direct managers just completely checked out? I feel like I'm on a sinking ship, and everyone is too scared to even talk about the exit strategy. If you’re still here, get your house in order and start looking elsewhere. This place isn't going to get better, it’s just going to get leaner until there’s no one left to do the actual work.

I’m right there with you. The disconnect between executive leadership and the reality on the ground has never been wider. Listening to those empty, corporate buzzwords while the department is hemorrhaging talent is insulting. They talk about 'future-proofing' as if we aren't the ones expected to perform the work of three people with zero support. It’s impossible to stay motivated when the company culture has shifted from valuing employees to just shuffling numbers on a spreadsheet to please shareholders. I’ve stopped caring about the metrics and started looking for the exit.

It is getting brutal out there. I worked at Lincoln for years, and watching how they've handled these latest rounds is just gut-wrenching. The silence from management regarding the departures speaks volumes about how little they value the remaining staff. Honestly, if you are still pushing hard to meet KPIs, stop. You are just wearing yourself out for a company that would replace you in a heartbeat if the stock price dipped another point. Take care of yourself, do the bare minimum, and get your resume out there while you still have the sanity to do it.
