Internal mobility seems stalled?

Is it just me or has internal job movement basically ground to a halt recently? I've been looking to switch roles within LM for about six months now, and it feels like positions are either getting filled internally *very* quickly with people already in the know, or they're just not opening up at all. I've applied to several postings that seemed like good fits, but either get ghosted or a quick rejection with no feedback. My manager's been supportive, but even they're saying it's tough out there right now for internal transfers. It's starting to get frustrating, especially when you see external hires coming in for similar roles. Anyone else experiencing this? Makes you feel a bit stuck. Wondering if it's a hiring freeze that hasn't been announced or just a general slowdown.
