Morale & Rumors at Lockheed - Anyone Else Hearing Things?

Hey everyone, been at LM for a few years now and things have felt... tense lately. Not hearing anything concrete about layoffs, but the general vibe on the floor and in some team meetings has been a bit off. Project funding seems tighter, and there's a lot of talk about 'realignments' and 'efficiency drives.' Just wondering if anyone else is picking up on this or if it's just my site/program. Is it just the usual defense contracting ups and downs, or is there something more substantial brewing? Trying to gauge if it's worth updating the resume proactively or if this is just normal Q3/Q4 jitters. Any insights from different divisions or locations would be super helpful. Hoping it's nothing, but better to be prepared, right?

Yeah, I've definitely noticed a shift. The 'efficiency drives' feel more like belt-tightening, and it's creating a bit of unease. Seems like every dollar is being scrutinized more than usual, which inevitably leads to whispers about what's next. Hard to say if it's a temporary blip or a sign of bigger strategic changes, but the atmosphere is certainly different from a year or two ago. Hopefully, it's just the normal ebb and flow of the industry, but it’s good to know I’m not the only one feeling it.

I hear you. The 'realignments' have been a buzzword around my team too, and it's leading to a lot of speculation. It feels like management is trying to consolidate or streamline operations, and that always comes with uncertainty. I haven't seen any concrete signs of trouble yet, but the constant talk and the tighter budget controls are definitely making people nervous. It's probably wise to stay informed and be prepared, just in case.
