New 'Performance Improvement' culture? Makes me nervous...

Okay, so I've been at LM for almost 8 years now, mostly solid performance reviews. Lately, though, it feels like the pressure is cranked up to 11. My manager is suddenly hyper-focused on metrics I didn't even know existed, and I'm constantly getting grilled on minor things. I'm in Engineering (Sikorsky), and my whole team feels like they're walking on eggshells. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this just normal corporate stuff, or is this the prelude to something... worse? I’m worried about my family and my mortgage, to be honest. Thinking about dusting off the resume just in case. Anyone else think it is time to jump ship, or am I overreacting?

Yeah, I've noticed something similar in RMS. Seems like there's a new push to justify everyone's existence, and honestly, it feels pretty demoralizing. My advice? Document everything. Every task, every accomplishment, every meeting. Cover your assets and be ready to demonstrate your value with hard data. CYA is the name of the game right now. It might be nothing, but better safe than sorry, especially with the economy the way it is.

Honestly, this sounds like standard corporate re-org buzz. They probably hired some consultant who told them they need to 'optimize.' Happens every few years. Just ride it out, don't take it personally, and keep doing your job. Most of the time these things blow over eventually. Maybe update your resume in the meantime, just in case. But don't panic, they're probably just trying to justify executive bonuses.
