St. Johns reduction - anyone got intel on the next wave?

Just saw the WARN notice for the 109 heads in St. Johns. It’s always the same story: leadership talks about 'strategic alignment' and 'optimizing operational efficiency' while the actual engineering and production staff get the axe. I’ve been hearing rumors that this is just the beginning of a larger consolidation effort across the Midwest sites. Is anyone else hearing whispers about further headcount reductions before the end of the fiscal year? I’m seeing a lot of nervous energy in the breakrooms here, and management is playing the usual 'everything is fine' card, but we all know how that script goes. I’m starting to update my resume just in case because waiting for the official email notification is a fool's errand at this point. If you’re at another facility, are you seeing any hiring freezes or budget tightening, or is it business as usual?

The rumors about the Midwest sites aren't just whispers anymore. If you look at the recent shifts in the Q3 briefings, they’ve been telegraphing this for months under the guise of margin expansion. It’s brutal, but once the St. Johns cuts are finalized, management will likely target the legacy programs next. Keep your resume updated and start networking outside of the firm immediately. Don't wait for the next internal announcement to tell you what the writing on the wall has already made clear.
