Starting to notice some weird vibes around here. We had that all-hands last week where the execs were talking a lot about 'streamlining operations' and 'focusing on core priorities.' Sounded corporate-speak for cuts to me. My manager's been super cagey about upcoming projects, and a few roles on other teams that were supposed to be backfilled have suddenly gone dark. Even some of the 'nice-to-have' perks seem to be on the chopping block, like certain training budgets and social events. Anyone else seeing similar signs? It's not just a specific team or department, feels more widespread. Makes you wonder what's really going on behind the scenes. Trying not to panic, but it's hard when the signals are so mixed.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. That 'streamlining' talk is getting old, and it feels like it always precedes a round of belt-tightening. I haven't heard specifics about my team yet, but the general atmosphere is definitely tense. Heard whispers about certain departments consolidating, and the buzz around 'increased focus' seems to translate to more work with fewer resources.
