Hearing whispers of significant cuts coming soon

Okay, so I haven't seen anything official, and I'm trying to stay grounded, but the amount of talk I'm hearing lately about potential layoffs at Lyft is getting hard to ignore. It's not just one or two people; it's multiple sources, different teams, all mentioning 'significant reductions' or 'restructuring'. Some are even quoting percentages, which is frankly terrifying. I'm in [mention a department, e.g., Engineering/Product/Ops], and we've definitely felt a slowdown in hiring and some projects have been put on the back burner. It just feels like the writing is on the wall. Has anyone else heard similar things, or perhaps seen a specific announcement elsewhere that I might have missed? Trying to prepare myself mentally and practically if this does indeed happen. Anyone in similar situations at other companies? How are you guys coping or preparing?

This is concerning. I've been with Lyft for a while and haven't experienced anything like this before. The 'slowdown in hiring' is definitely noticeable, and it makes you wonder what's really going on behind the scenes. Hoping for clarity soon, but it's tough to remain optimistic when the rumors are this widespread and persistent. Let's hope it's just restructuring and not as severe as some are suggesting.

Yeah, the chatter is pretty loud lately. It's unnerving to hear 'significant cuts' being thrown around, especially when you're trying to plan your career. My team's been hearing similar things, though nothing concrete yet. It's the uncertainty that's the hardest part. Fingers crossed it's not as bad as some of the percentages being whispered about. Trying to focus on my work, but it's hard not to worry.
