I hear you loud and clear. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt (and the severance package, eventually). The constant upheaval is exhausting, and honestly, it kills morale and productivity. At a certain point, you just start assuming every project will be scrapped in the next re-org. Start documenting everything *you* do, focus on skills that are transferable regardless of the company's direction, and keep your resume updated. It sounds cynical, but you've gotta prioritize your own career security.
Re-orgs are definitely disruptive, but sometimes they're necessary for a company to adapt and survive in a competitive market. Maybe try to see it as an opportunity to learn new things and expand your skill set? Data science is valuable across industries. Instead of getting bogged down in the negativity, could you try to identify how the latest changes might benefit you in the long run, even if it's just developing resilience?
