Seeing a lot of odd project cancellations lately

Hey folks, I'm not trying to spread rumors or cause panic, but has anyone else noticed a weird trend with projects getting shelved or scaled back dramatically in the last couple of weeks? It feels like more than just standard prioritization shifts. Budgets are suddenly tight, and there's a general air of 'hunker down' that wasn't there before. I'm in [Department X] and we've seen two major initiatives suddenly put on indefinite hold with little explanation. Management is being super cagey. Makes me wonder what's brewing behind the scenes. Is this a sign of something bigger coming down the pipe? Just trying to gauge if others are seeing the same signals or if it's just my team's microcosm. Any insights or similar experiences would be appreciated.
