Martin Marietta (MLM) - Anyone else feeling the vibes?

Hey everyone, just checking in on Martin Marietta. Been seeing some industry chatter and economic indicators that make me a bit uneasy about the materials sector in general. No concrete news about layoffs at MLM specifically, but I wanted to see if anyone else has heard anything or is feeling a similar sense of uncertainty within the company. Are project pipelines looking healthy? Any whispers from management about belt-tightening or strategic shifts? Just trying to gauge the temperature. Seems like things could be getting a little bumpy ahead, and I'd rather be prepared than blindsided. Anyone working in procurement, sales, or project management have any insights on demand trends? Appreciate any info, even if it's just gut feelings. Stay safe out there.

I'm with you on the uncertainty. While I haven't heard any direct layoff rumors for MLM, the broader economic forecast does give me pause. Our industry is so tied to construction and infrastructure spending, and there are definitely some headwinds developing. I'm keeping a close eye on client project pipelines and any public statements from leadership regarding future outlooks. Hopefully, it's just a cyclical dip, but it's prudent to be aware.

Interesting post. I haven't picked up on any specific negativity regarding Martin Marietta lately, but I understand the general caution given the economic climate. My sense is that infrastructure projects, which are a big part of MLM's business, tend to be more resilient than purely residential construction. I'd be curious to hear if anyone has specific insights into their order books or any upcoming major contract wins/losses that could signal a shift.
