Curious to hear from folks at Martin Marietta about how things have settled in after the recent integrations/acquisitions. I've been with the company for a bit now and things feel... different. Wondering if this is just me or if others are feeling the shift too. Is team cohesion still strong? Are communication channels open, or is it more siloed now? I've noticed some talented people looking elsewhere, which is always a red flag for me. Just trying to gauge the general morale and whether the company's strategic direction is translating well at the ground level. Any thoughts on work-life balance these days, too? Thanks for sharing.

It's definitely a mixed bag. Some teams have integrated pretty smoothly, especially if they were already aligned in terms of operations or location. Others are struggling with the new workflows and cultural differences. I've seen communication get a bit more formal, and while there are efforts to keep things open, it can feel like navigating more layers than before. The talent drain is concerning, no doubt. Hopefully, leadership addresses these concerns proactively before it impacts the core business too much.

I'm feeling the shift too. It's not entirely negative, some of the new resources and expanded capabilities are impressive. However, the sense of a single, unified 'us' has definitely diluted. Communication feels like it's becoming more about reporting up and less about genuine collaboration across departments. I've heard similar sentiments from colleagues in different divisions. It’s a period of adjustment, for sure, and the long-term effects are still unfolding. Time will tell if the positives outweigh the growing pains.
