Anyone else feeling super anxious at Mastercard lately?

I've been with Mastercard for almost 7 years now, in a tech role (software engineer). Usually, things are pretty chill, but lately, there's been this weird vibe. Lots of closed-door meetings, VPs whispering in the hallways, and just an overall sense of unease. I know other people in my department feel it too. No official announcements or anything, but I can't shake the feeling that something's coming. Anyone else picking up on this? Am I just being paranoid? I'm starting to think I should update my resume just in case.

I feel you. Uncertainty is the worst. I went through something similar at a previous company. All the signs were there – hushed tones, disappearing colleagues, and a sudden focus on 'efficiency.' Turned out to be a big restructuring and layoffs. Start quietly polishing your resume and networking. It's always better to be prepared, even if it turns out to be nothing. Good luck!

Honestly, these things are usually overblown. Big companies always have meetings and 'restructuring' talks. Unless you see actual performance issues in your team or department, I wouldn't worry too much. Seven years is a good run; they probably value your experience. Just keep doing your job and try not to get caught up in the gossip. If something *does* happen, deal with it then. Don't borrow trouble.
