Just saw the official notification drop today. Looks like another 93 people are being let go, effective October 20th. This is specifically for the Chautauqua location. Honestly, the mood in the office has been garbage for months, and seeing these chunks get taken out of the headcount every few weeks is exhausting. Management keeps talking about 'efficiencies' and 'strategic realignment' while we post record profits, but it’s clear they are just trimming to appease the Street. If you’re in the NY offices, check your email or internal portals. It feels like nowhere is safe right now, even if you’ve been here for years. Sending good vibes to everyone affected, this sucks.

It is honestly getting ridiculous at this point. They keep throwing around buzzwords like 'strategic alignment' while people lose their livelihoods, yet the quarterly earnings calls never mention the human cost. Ninety-three more families have to deal with this uncertainty right before the holidays. The leadership team seems completely disconnected from the actual office floor, focusing entirely on stock performance rather than the people who built these systems. It’s hard to stay motivated when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder wondering if your department is next on the chopping block.

I was around for the last round of cuts, and the environment has just gone downhill since then. You can feel the tension in every meeting now. It’s impossible to ignore the irony of 'efficiencies' when the company is reporting such massive growth. If they are hitting record profits, why is the workforce the first thing they sacrifice to keep the investors happy? I hope everyone affected in Chautauqua manages to land on their feet quickly because this kind of constant, drip-feed downsizing is truly draining for everyone left behind.
