Is it just me, or is anyone else feeling the pre-layoff jitters?

I've been at Netflix for almost 5 years now, on the personalization team, and I can't shake this feeling that something's coming. I remember the last round of cuts a few years back, and the vibe feels eerily similar. The endless meetings about 'restructuring' and 'optimizing resources' are back. My manager's been super vague whenever I ask about future projects. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I'm starting to dust off my resume just in case. Anyone else sensing this too, or am I losing it?

I totally get it. Been here a little longer than you, on the content side, and the atmosphere definitely feels tense. The belt-tightening is palpable, and those 'restructuring' buzzwords are always a bad sign. It's better to be prepared than caught off guard. Updating your resume is a smart move, just in case. Good luck!

Honestly, I think you're overreacting. Netflix has always been a company that emphasizes efficiency. Meetings about optimizing resources are pretty much a constant here. Unless you've got actual evidence, like projects being cancelled or people being quietly let go, I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. Focus on your work and try not to get swept up in the paranoia.
