Is it just me or is the 'leaner' approach starting to bite?

Remember that memo from a while back about being more efficient and agile? Well, it feels like we're really leaning into that now, maybe a little too much. Things that used to be straightforward are suddenly requiring multiple approvals, and there's a definite feeling of 'doing more with less' that's starting to feel like 'doing more with less people'. I'm not seeing any explicit layoff announcements, but the underlying pressure to perform and justify every role is palpable. It's making work pretty stressful, wondering if you're next on the chopping block. Anyone else feeling this intense pressure?

Totally feel you on this. The 'leaner' vibe is definitely in the air. It's like they're trying to squeeze every last drop of productivity out, and it's starting to impact the actual work getting done. The extra layers of approval for simple tasks are maddening, and it feels like the focus has shifted from creating great content to just... managing the budget down to the penny. Makes you wonder where the innovation goes when everyone's just trying to survive.

I hear that. It's a delicate balance, right? Efficiency is good, but when it starts impacting morale and making people feel disposable, that's when it gets problematic. I've noticed the same kind of creeping 'more with less' pressure. It creates anxiety and makes it harder to take risks, which, ironically, is probably the opposite of what they want for a company like ours. Hope it's just a phase.
