Anyone else seeing a hiring freeze at News Corp?

Been hearing whispers for a while, but lately it feels more concrete. A lot of teams are apparently on a strict 'no new hires' policy, even for roles that were previously open. Internal mobility seems to have slowed to a crawl too. It's making planning for Q4 and beyond really difficult. Anyone else in a different division getting similar vibes? Feels like the purse strings are being tightened pretty significantly. Trying to figure out if this is a company-wide thing or just specific departments feeling the pinch. Curious to hear if anyone has insights or has been told anything officially.

I'm seeing similar signals from my end. We've had a few positions evaporate that were supposedly approved just last quarter. It's definitely causing some friction in project timelines and resource allocation. Feels like a broad directive rather than isolated incidents, especially with the emphasis on efficiency and cost-saving measures being discussed in recent all-hands meetings. Makes you wonder what the long-term strategy is if key roles are left unfilled.
