People are quiet in meetings, nobody wants to volunteer for anything, and the 'what ifs' are constant. We had that all-hands last week, and it was all about synergy and 'navigating the evolving media landscape.' Corporate speak galore, but zero concrete answers about job security. It feels like a slow bleed, and I'm not sure how much longer people can keep their heads down and just hope for the best. Every time the phone buzzes, you brace yourself. Is it HR? Is it a calendar invite for a 'performance review' that's really a polite dismissal? It's exhausting.
