Anyone still here from the Q2 '24 layoffs? How's it going?

Just wondering how everyone who managed to dodge the June 6th cull is holding up. I was in Merchandising, thankfully my team was spared, but the atmosphere is still so tense. Feels like people are walking on eggshells. I've been here 7 years, and this is the most uncertain I've ever felt. Anyone else feel like their role is constantly being re-evaluated or at risk? Just trying to gauge if this is just my perception or if it's a company-wide vibe. Let me know your thoughts.

Hang in there. My team wasn't touched either, but the air is definitely thicker. It's hard not to overthink every little thing when you know how many people were affected. I've been looking at my responsibilities and trying to make myself as indispensable as possible, though I know that's not always a guarantee. It helps to have a few trusted colleagues to vent with, even if we can't really change anything. Just know you're not alone in feeling this way.

Honestly, 'walking on eggshells' feels about right. I was in a different department, but the ripple effects are undeniable. It's tough to focus on long-term projects when the ground feels so shaky beneath your feet. I've been updating my resume regularly, just as a personal exercise and to stay sharp. It doesn't necessarily mean I'm actively looking, but it gives me a sense of control. Maybe see if there are internal mobility opportunities or cross-functional projects you can get involved in. Show your value.
