I'm just so frustrated. We're constantly pushed to do more with less, squeeze every last drop of productivity out of ourselves, and yet the company is raking in billions. And for what? To line the pockets of executives while we're all stressed out of our minds worrying about job security? I've been working in retail planning for 5 years, and the workload has only increased while the resources have shrunk. If they're considering layoffs, it's a slap in the face to everyone who's dedicated their time and energy to this company. Honestly, it feels like they value the brand more than the people who make it what it is. End rant.

I hear you. It's a tale as old as time: profits up, employee morale down. Companies forget that their employees are the engine, not just replaceable parts. Have you and your colleagues considered unionizing? Collective bargaining might be the only way to get them to listen to your concerns about workload and job security. It's a long road, but it can lead to real change and a more equitable distribution of the company's success.

Honestly, every big corporation is like this. Retail is a notoriously brutal industry. Nike's success relies on efficient operations, and unfortunately, that often translates to pressure on employees. While I sympathize, expecting a different reality might be unrealistic. Maybe it's time to explore other career paths or companies known for better work-life balance. Sometimes, the best way to improve your situation is to remove yourself from it.
