Okay, so the 1400 were cut in June, but we all know how these things go. They rarely stop at just one big sweep. I'm in Apparel Product Creation, and honestly, my role feels pretty specialized and maybe less 'core' than some others. I've been looking at LinkedIn and other job boards, but the market feels brutal right now, especially for folks with my background. Has anyone started actively interviewing or networking, just in case? Any tips for making yourself look more 'essential' or pivoting skills? Trying to get ahead of this before it hits.

Honestly, 'essential' is subjective and often means 'whoever the current leadership favors.' If you're worried, start casually updating your resume and keeping an ear to the ground. Polishing your LinkedIn profile doesn't hurt, even if you're not actively looking *yet*. The market *is* tough, but there are always opportunities if you're adaptable. Maybe look at adjacent fields where your skills could be transferable, even if it's not exactly what you do now.
