The mood on Slack is practically radioactive right now. I’ve noticed the same pattern with the meeting purges—those sudden 'deep work' blocks appearing on everyone’s calendars are the oldest trick in the book. It’s hard to get any actual work done when you’re constantly checking to see if you still have access to the repo. If they’re locking down permissions, it’s clearly not a drill. Just keep your resume updated and make sure you’ve backed up any personal files you need. We’ve seen this script play out before, and the 'business as usual' line is just a blatant cover for what’s coming next.
I honestly think it’s time to stop over-analyzing every calendar invite and just prepare for the worst. It’s exhausting watching everyone spiral every time a manager cancels a 1:1. Yes, the company has issues, and yes, the recent restrictions are suspicious, but the constant doom-scrolling in these threads isn't helping anyone’s mental health. Maybe leadership is being cagey, or maybe it’s just the same disorganized chaos we deal with every quarter. Either way, focus on your own exit plan instead of hunting for signs in the meeting logs. Hope for the best, but keep your options open.
