FY24 Projections and Potential Headwinds

Looking at the latest industry trends and some of the broader semiconductor market analysis, I'm starting to wonder about ON Semi's positioning for the rest of FY24. While we've had some strong quarters, certain sectors we serve seem to be facing slowdowns, and increased competition is always a factor. I haven't seen any direct layoff reports tied to ON Semi, and leadership always projects confidence, but it's hard to ignore the macroeconomic signals. Just wanted to open a discussion about potential challenges ahead and how they might impact headcount. Anyone have insights into specific product lines or business units that might be more vulnerable, or conversely, ones that are looking particularly robust? Trying to get a clearer picture beyond the official comms.

I'm with you on this. The auto and industrial sectors, which are big for ON Semi, have definitely shown some mixed signals lately. While they've executed well, it feels like the company is navigating a bit of a choppy sea. Keeping an eye on inventory levels and customer order books will be key to seeing how they weather any potential downturns. Hopefully, their focus on higher-margin products provides some resilience. It's smart to be thinking ahead about these possibilities.
