ONEOK - How's the vibe in Operations?

Hey everyone, been with ONEOK for a few years now in an operations role. Lately, it feels like things are… tense. Not hearing any specific layoff rumors, but the general market for energy infrastructure feels a bit shaky, and that's gotta trickle down at some point, right? Management's been pretty tight-lipped, which I get, but it doesn't help ease the nerves. Are others in similar roles or departments noticing anything unusual? More 'efficiency' talks? Hiring freezes disguised as something else? Just trying to gauge if this is a widespread feeling or if I'm just overthinking things. Would love to hear from others in different areas too – engineering, midstream, corporate support, etc. How are things looking from your end? Any subtle signs or just business as usual? Yeah, I'm feeling a similar undercurrent. It's not just ONEOK; the whole midstream sector seems to be in a holding pattern. Lots of talk about optimizing processes and 'synergies,' which usually precedes some kind of belt-tightening. Management's silence is deafening, but honestly, it's hard to blame them when the external factors are so unpredictable. Just hoping for clarity soon.

I've seen that too. The 'efficiency' drive is definitely ramping up. More metrics, more reporting, and less room for error. It’s creating a bit of anxiety, for sure. While I haven't heard anything concrete about layoffs, the general atmosphere definitely feels like we're being prepped for something. Keeping my head down and focusing on hitting targets.
