Anyone else's team been completely gutted?

Seriously, feels like half my team is gone. We lost our lead, two senior engineers, and a couple of PMs all in the last two weeks. People are just getting these generic email notifications. No real explanation, just 'business needs.' I get that companies do this, but the sheer speed and silence around it is unnerving. HR is giving the standard "difficult decision" line, and management is either MIA or offering platitudes that ring hollow. I've been here 5 years and this feels different, more systematic. It's hard to stay motivated when you see colleagues you respect and rely on just vanish overnight. Anyone else experiencing this level of team attrition?

It's possible there's a strategic shift happening behind the scenes that's impacting specific areas, likely tied to cloud migration efforts or underperforming software divisions. The lack of communication is standard practice, unfortunately, which doesn't make it any easier to experience.
